The unfolding of this story starts when two complex souls, Anthony and Krystina, meet while working on a criminal case and later married. However, danger, secrets, deception and black mail tear them apart. After filing for divorce, Krystina flees the country only to return home when she discovers her sister is on trial for murder. The person her sister is being accused of killing is a wanted felon who happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Krystina. Fearful of exposing her past but knowing her sister is innocent, Krystina decides to testify. Before she can testify, Anthony, who she now believes is her ex-husband, intercedes. Krystina realizes she must face and tell him what happened on that fateful day.
