PROMETHEUS REBOUNDS transforms the ancient Greek myth of Prometheus into a contemporary inner city story when an ancient and mysterious Immortal offers a young urban Prometheus the gift, not of fire this time, but of basketball in all its magic as a power stolen from the gods and brought down to earth to give hope, beauty, joy, and enlightenment to people's lives. In using the gift Prometheus learns how it must be constantly defended from the forces of evil trying to keep the human race enslaved by ignorance and despair. At the same time he must struggle to help his fatherless family survive while overcoming past fears and doubts from his childhood.
