After months of work, the entire intelligence community could only determine that there existed a secret committee that seem to run everything.¿It was a pretty Air Force Major's wife who broke the case by identifying the perpetrators which, in turn, sealed her own death warrant. Military families frequently lead strange life styles inequally strange places. This was particularly true in the fifties in Japan where great booze, great food and great ladies were all available at bottom dollar prices. In this environment of perpetual parties, Emily Jordan's involvement in an adultery/rape episode created a personal family disaster that she was able to turn into a business success and an intelligence coup. To accomplish her objectives she became a mistress, a CEO, amanager in a high Japanese government department and a spy. All of these were very unusual occupations for a round eyed American lady. Through it all she had but three goals: get the committee identified, get her family back and get the hell out of Japan in one piece.
