As a child, Amy Tedrow was brutally abused by her father. She struggled for years to forget her tortured past so she could move forward into a new life. She worked hard to make all the right choices and to leave her pain and unhappy memories behind her. At age twenty-six she felt secure within the boundaries of her newly constructed world. That security, however, vanishes when the ghost of a sad-eyed little girl unexpectedly appears in the middle of the night begging for Amy's help. When she witnesses the child reaching outwith bruised, battered arms, she discovers that she can not turn away.
