This retrospective memoir is a story of triumph and victory in the face of unbelievable challenges. It tells of the daunting experiences which have shaped my life and forced me to grow into a strong Black woman in spite of myself! It is a book about doubts, fears and crippling anxieties transformed by necessity, into learning about, developing and practicing an abiding faith in the tremendous God power within, which when accessed, can overcome what often seems to be insurmountable obstacles. Miracles, last minute deliverances, unbelievable interventions from the invisible world rescued me over and over and over again, when it appeared that all was lost and defeat inevitable. Finally, there is the recounting of my six year journey with a son who developed AIDS and what that experience taught me. The lesson learned, especially during the last months of his life, was about every soul's unique right to choose its own destiny; and for loved ones even through their pain, to be supportive of that choice. Dear reader, I pray that my story of spiritual discovery and growth, will inspire and encourage you to plumb your own depths and deepen your faith in the God self that dwells in you, that loves you unconditionally and stands at the ready, to bless you and meet your every need.
