When both parents left theirhome, the five Wilson kids, three boys and two girls ranging from twenty totwelve years old, were left to fend for themselves. They coped well with somehelp from Youth on Their Own. Trouble started when a group ofrowdies moved in next door; loud parties, drugs, Sarah's illness and abduction,the boys in a car chase, and Deena's encounter with the biggest dog she hadever seen all happened within a short time. At last, the owners of the housenext door returned home, ousted the gang, and began helping the Wilsons solvetheir problems. Tim's scientific experiment was successful, the two familiesbecame like one, and they heard that Mister Wilson might return within a year. The Wilsons had high hopes forthe future, and only wished that other teens on their ownhad as happy an ending as theirs.
