Like a Master Baker, the Savior desires to incorporate a unique set of ingredients into the dough of each believer's life so that His promise in John 6:35 may be fulfilled, '... he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.' It sounds so easy; come, believe, and be completely filled and utterly satisfied. How then does this verse come to life when circumstances place us in the hot oven of suffering and we pray our witness will manifest the sweet aroma of 'the Bread of Life?' This is an arduous quest, as believers live in a battlefield not a playground; yet, Scripture assures us that we will advance in His certain triumph towards our destiny. 'But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.' 2 Corinthians 2:14The Bread Lady's Quest explores this metaphor by adding facts about each ingredient in bread, sprinkling in Scriptural references, and mixing them together to find a connection to Jesus. Folding in poetry, songs, prayers, and personal testimony enhances the richness and allows the reader to capture each savory breadcrumb of truth providing food for thought.
