He finally enters the world of children's book and began his first collaboration with a publisher in New Zealand in 1997. Leonardo often participated in the Children's Book Fair in Bologna, and in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002 was selected by an international jury for the exhibition illustrators and appeared in the Annual Illustrators.
