Shatters the Morning Calm illuminates the new and dangerous world without boundaries in which we all now find ourselves. This is a twenty-first century novel set in the tense international political environment of today. It is a story of terrorism, international intrigue and suspense that unfolds in the unstable climate of both cooperation and mutual suspicion between North and South Korea. Events take place in Asia. North and South Korea are the principal locales with action also occurring in Japan, Hong Kong, Paris, Tel Aviv and Washington, DC. The plot concerns an attempt by a hard line insular faction in North Korea to disrupt and curtail the peace and business negotiations between the two Korean nations by staging an assassination attempt inside South Korea. The story follows an American business man, South Korean and Israeli intelligence agents, a North Korean government minister and a ranking American CIA official as they plot, maneuver and spar toward a cataclysmic climax that could trigger another Korean War.
