The stories are set in biblical times based on characters and themes that could have been in the background of what has been written. Joseph comes alive as a real husband and father; the shepherds and the angels walk through these pages and become friends of the reader; the flight to Egypt has suspense and adds substance to the journey of a refugee family running from a political tyrant.
