The very idea that a secret organization could exist for over 800 years without detection by anyone was not credible. Either way, Steven Smythe had little interest in finding out. The book is inspired by fact - there really was a secret organizaation of horse breeders and trainers that existed in ancient Scotland. But such an organization couldn't exist today. Or could it?
