Every so often we get a glimpse into a world that we refuse to claim as our own, a world that we claim is not of our making and a world in which we desire to take no part. We ignore the battles that rage on the edges, beyond the glow of city street lamps or behind closed doors. Every city, every town, has its shadows. The demons that assaulted Mona White, and by default us as well, slipped right up First Avenue and slugged us in the gut. Mona's life started in the quiet countryside and that tranquility molded her spirit. That world didn't prevail. To this day she pays for the sins of the world that was thrust upon her. Mona White's Diary is a record that she exisited.
