Delia, a British senior nurse, quits her career following burnout and subsequent life-saving psychotherapy, with a view to moving abroad with her husband. Once in Italy, she embraces some new, exciting projects that, she is confident, will drive her fast forward to a burgeoning, new life. However, her dreams are frozen in time by the arrival of the Covid pandemic whose forced lockdown triggers unresolved, deeply buried issues that come back to haunt her. Suddenly, a shockingly powerful entity, by the name of Auntie Doris, challenges Delia's status quo eventually galvanizing an unusually unconventional type of everlasting happiness. Delia's life-changing experience is later immortalized in her book of memoirs which she hides in her library, with a fateful wish. Some time after Delia's death, a British couple, Jill and John, seek solace from a deep, personal trauma and acquire Delia's house in toto, oblivious of the secret legacy that comes with the legal ownership of their new home.
