Contributor Bio:  Harper, Thomas Thomas Harper was born in 1985 and lived the first thirty years of his life in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After skating by all the way through high school, he spent six years at a menial job. With plenty of time to think, he discovered his intellectual side. In 2009 he finally went to college in an attempt to procrastinate the real world, which has scary responsibilities. He is now a biochemist who has worked on beta lactamases, the enzyme bacteria use to break down beta lactam drugs such as penicillin's in antibiotic resistant bacteria. He runs a Facebook page called The Cynical Philosopher.
