For more than forty years he has been a teacher and writer, having taught students ranging from kindergarten through the university level. He was principal of Daystar International School, a private school located in Kumamoto, Japan, where he lived with his family for eighteen years. He is also former Executive Director of Desert Rose Baha'i Institute, an education and conference center in central Arizona. He currently serves on the board of directors of International Educational Initiatives, and is on the advisory board of Center for Global Integrated Education.
