Abby Jane Morrell

In 1829 Benjamin Morrell (1795–1839) departed America for a voyage to the Pacific as captain of the Antarctic. His wife, Abby Jane Morrell (b. 1809), insisted on accompanying him. First published in 1833, this is her account of the voyage, ghostwritten by the author Samuel Knapp (1783–1838).
