Since the beginning of freshmen year, Macy had struggled with making friends due to the lack of zeros at the end of her bank balance. As she continued to try and befriend those around her, one fateful night turned her against the masses. With no memory of what happened on top of that mountain, Macy found herself battling between the desire to know the truth or putting the sexual assault behind her once and for all. But growing up in a small town outside of Asheville, North Carolina, rumors spread quicker than a late fall wildfire in the Great Smoky Mountains, so the desire to forget wasn't something she could do-especially when extenuating circumstances came to light. Dealing with adult decisions that had impending deadlines, and an addicted parent, Macy was forced to seek the truth and find justice for herself once and for all. This is her story.
