Rama Raksha Stotra Koushik K

This hymn is called rÄma rakshÄ stotra and is from the scripture Änanda rÄmÄyana. It is stated in the fifth sarga of janma khanda of Änanda rÄmÄyana. It is a conversation between vishnudÄsa and his guru rÄmadÄsa. This hymn of rama raksha stotra was revealed to goddess gauri by lord Shiva in the presence of skanda. He initiated the hymn to goddess gauri and instructed her to do the protection rituals for skanda so that he can can defeat and destroy tÄraka. After bowing to lord rÄma, he started teaching the hymn. Goddess gauri chanted the mantra and did the protection ritual for skanda. By the power of the rama raksha stotra mantra, skanda defeated tÄrakÄsura. Chanting of the hymn can rectify all our fears, protects us from illness, cruel animals and insects, enemies, negative forces, negativity, and blesses us with peace, happiness, good health, true devotion on the holy feet of rama, wisdom and finally liberation . Another benefit is to feel the presence of the deity in each and every part of the body and in soul. Live in divine experience and submerge in god. This also helps to experience the ever existing non duality with god and the wisdom of self realization. As we regularly chant the kavacha and realize that god resides everywhere inside and outside of us and that is why he can protect us everywhere and from everything. The omnipresence of the lord is experienced through chanting the kavacha mantra.
