Death on County Line Clarica Burns
Death on County Line
Clarica Burns
The 1950's were a time of Rock N Roll music, Elvis, and poodle skirts. It was also a time of innocence, but all was not innocent as Darlene Hamilton and her friend Cecelia Scott found out on the night they went to Chiefs, a bar just across the Parker County line. Suddenly they were caught up in a murder and a feud between a mobster and a local owner of an illegal gambling house. Jeffery Swanson, a FBI agent, knew all wasn't innocent, but neither did he have all the answers. He liked the look of Darlene, in fact he wanted to get to know her better, but he also knew he needed to keep his attention on the case he had been sent to Fort Worth, Texas to take care of. Romance would have to come later because he did have a job to do. He certainly hoped Darlene wasn't involved, but why had she been at Chiefs and why was the dead body found in her car?In the age of innocence and happy days, all life isn't innocent and happy, because sometimes real life creeps in. Could Jeffery rescue the girl and solve his case at the same time, only time would tell.
