Four 10-15 minutes plays for children 4-8 years old. Suitable for kindergarten graduation shows, end of year school performances, drama clubs and Earth Day/World Environment Day assemblies. Autumn Fairies, Let It Snow, Spring Fairies, Summer Fairies. Fun fast-moving plays with a wide variety of roles for children of different ability levels. The play allows some pupils to act as fairies. The boys and girls can choose to perform a wide variety of roles: animals, clouds, shooting stars, professors, motorists. The plays have a strong environmental theme, combined with some scientific information suitable for the age group. There is a role on stage for the teacher, in order to assist with narration and the direction of kids on stage. The Summer Fairies have to get the world ready for summer. There's a lot to do including making fluffy cumulus clouds and meteor showers. Not to mention growing sunflowers and ensuring that the butterflies and bees have their favourite plants. The Summer Fairies even have to make sure there's enough strawberries and cream at Wimbledon. And, that's a lot of strawberries and cream. The birds need their bath ready; and, someone has to ensure there are enough seashells on the beaches. At the end of all this, the Summer Fairies will probably deserve a relaxing summer holiday of their own.
