The thoughts that go through the mind when mortality is at stake, be it in raging whitewater or on the side of a cliff. A terminally ill man naming the tumors that are eating away at him. A serial killer traversing the country in the guise of a has been professional wrestler. A teenage journalist covering the punk rock scene in southern California during the 1970's. These are but a few of the explorations in Cory Cason's first collection "13 Stories" written entirely during the lockdown months of 2020. These stories were conceived during the lull time during the editing process of his third novel, "Plane, Colorado", expected to be released in January of 2021.
