This is a story about two Shepherd children's search for the new born baby Jesus. The Story begins with a traveling story teller predicting the birth of Jesus in the nearby town of Bethlehem. The children decide to travel to Bethlehem to find the baby. They think that they can see the baby and return to their camp without their parents ever knowing that they were gone.

The Children start off and before long are lost, cold and hungry. They fall asleep and are kidnapped by two ruffians who intend to sell them to slavers. The parents discover the children are gone and begin a frantic search but with no results. Meanwhile one of the slavers has a change of heart and lets the children go. Once freed they continue their search for the baby Jesus.

The story takes a surprising turn and ends with the children seeing the baby Jesus and the parents finding their children. This is a unique and different Christmas story and has all of the elements to make its reading an annual Christmas tradition to be enjoyed by generations of children...and their parents.
