In an age when the poor were very poor and the rich extremely rich, when the divide between the two was wider than the Pacific Ocean and the rich delighted in making the poor suffer, the fate of the common man was work hard and die young, or strike out on his own to make his fortune and there was no better place to do just that, than the Caribbean and become a Pirate. And so begins the bawdy comic tales of Calico Jack, Anne Bonny and Mary Read as they try to stay forever one step ahead of the law and British justice. Along the way they have to deal with the politics of their ship, and of the other pirate crews whilst the governor tasked with bring law and order back to the Caribbean, Woodes Rodgers sets about pitting his wits against theirs. Can Jack keep them all together as they try to make an honest living as pirates on the Caribbean sea robbing the rich and keeping all that loot for themselves.
