Emily Martin has always embraced whatever is thrown at her. After her own varied and absorbing career in agriculture, she was living a busy and fulfilling family life in the close-knit regional community of St George in South West Queensland.

During a cool early morning cycle with two mates in the summer of 2015, all of that suddenly changed. A serious accident left Emily with an acquired brain injury, and her well-oiled life imploded, affecting everyone near and dear to her.
