This epic story of high adventure and obsessive love is the untold story at the heart of Wuthering Heights. After Heathcliff flees Wuthering Heights on a stormy night, he is haunted by memories of his first love, Catherine Earnshaw. He embarks on an epic 18th century odyssey that takes him to Liverpool, on a slave ship to Africa, and then across the treacherous Middle Passage to the brothels and slave markets of Jamaica. Determined to better himself and return to Catherine, he arrives in London. He becomes entangled with the seductive French pickpocket Agnes Sorel who pulls him into a dangerous scheme that might kill him, or make his fortune.
