In 1996, Karen suffered the abrupt beginnings of a perplexing disease very similar to Mogellons (today's unexplained disease). Her book chronicles the years she battled this "thing" by turning to alternative medicine. As a trained Registered Nurse, this was at first anathema to her but she delved and explored and became open to an all new way to wholeness and wellness.

Karen's impetus for writing this book is to open the same gate for others who may be afflicted with similar circumstances. Her belief in the living God and his mercy, kindness and forgiveness shines a path throughout her book and will give inspiration to many.
