Page to Performance, a poetry organization based in Cambridge, UK and led by Hollie McNish and her colleague, Inja, worked with a group of amazing young people for three months in summer, 2013, to find out what it is they all love about riding. Here is a sample of the verse in the book, which is accompanied by simple black and white photos from the film and line art.

People ask me why I ride sometimes

I tell them it?s because sometimes I like to fly

Cos I get tired sometimes of traffic jams and all the time we spend in queues

Because I like sitting in the park in the Summer as all my friends pass through

My bike?s the only way I have to get there

That?s why I ride

Through discussion, poetry workshops and interviews, they put their answers into a poem written by Hollie.  

This is the book, and e-Book, that will be the grassroots movement?s Bible for riding instead of driving an automobile.  It will become an anthem for young people around the world, and the interactive video link will inspire all people, especially people who don't think about driving?they jump into their car and press the gas pedal without a second thought. Hollie is a rising international spoke word poet, not afraid to speak out, speak her mind on tough issues, and bring about change.
