Music City's Printers Alley has a "strong tinge of Naughty"-a place for bourbon, women, and song. It is also where a rising political figure, an attorney and friend, has just been shot dead! Rollins wants to know why. Rollins' friend had called the night before to arrange a meeting; there was something he didn't want to discuss over the phone. Now he is dead-a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time according to news reports. The man was supposedly struck down by a stray bullet from a celebratory shooting spree by a drunken reveler, a shooter who fled the scene. Rollins isn't buying it. To find the truth, he must unravel the mystery's strings-twisted and tangled by a scheming puppeteer.
