The Hot Body Club is a murder mystery set in Eugene, Oregon. Summer Rain is a precocious, sixteen going on twenty-four year-old femme fatale who goes missing. Jack Hunter, a down-on-his-luck private detective who specializes in marital infidelity cases, is hired to find Summer by her father, Charles Thurgood Winetrout. Winetrout is also Hunter?s landlord and the owner of the Hot Body Club, a sleazy strip bar. Jimmy (James) Sundquist, a twenty-something, born-again Christian with a background of drugs, booze, sex, and violence, is infatuated with Summer. Susan St. Marie, aka Charity, is a dancer at the Hot Body Club and Summer?s bosom buddy. Detective Lucas Leonard is a no-nonsense homicide cop and Hunter?s friend and fishing chum.
