William Shakespeare's "Tragedy of Richard the Third" branded King Richard with a nightmare reputation. British author Robert Fripp launches a direct attack on Shakespeare's interpretation by writing his "Dark Sovereign" in Shakespeare's English -- fluently!  That's a first in four centuries. Longer than Hamlet, Fripp's "Dark Sovereign" dramatises the genuine tragedy of King Richard III while, overnight, becoming the longest existing play written in Renaissance English. Fripp produced investigative television at CBC-TV in Toronto for a decade before setting out to overturn Shakespeare's verdict on Richard III.
