Workmatters: Blackline Masters, Human Relations on the Job Contemporary

Students who are ready for a successful school-to-work transition can smooth their way with WORKmatters, a series of teacher resources and student activities developed by Public/Private Ventures. This curriculum guides students in identifying their interests, aptitudes, and personal values; helps them understand the world of work and its requirements for success; and assists in developing concrete skills for job searches and survival. The books' lessons and blackline master activities address JTPA skills as well as SCANS competencies. In Human Relations on the Job lessons focus on workplace culture, the first day on a job, employer expectations, management styles, diversity in the workplace, dealing with conflict, and getting ahead on the job.
