From the start of prayer meetings in individual homes in 1863 to the varied programs offered today, the Sanctuary United Methodist Church represents 145 years of Methodism in North Wales, Pennsylvania. Sanctuary is much more than the building. It is a body of believers as well as a congregation which nurtures its members and reaches out to the community and beyond with the message and ministry of Christ. These amazing God moments and blessings have come from the very heart of those who have shared their stories. They include life-changing experiences that have affected those of every age from teenagers to older adults, both men and women. Being open to God's presence in their lives has allowed them to connect with the Christ-spirit.
