When Maggie Bloom stumbles over a dead body on Hilton Head Island and discovers the corpse is clutching her ex-husband's business card, she decides to investigate. The reason? The card says Peter S. Bloom has an import/export business in Marrakech, Morocco. As far as Maggie knows, he has a law practice in Boston, MA. To make matters worse; the sheriff suspects her ex is guilty of murder, her new love wants her to ax the ex, and a wacky friend who is into astral communication with folks on the Other Side, keeps getting in her way. As she pursues the killer, someone is trying to kill her. It's a good thing Maggie seems to have nine lives, because she's using them up at an alarming rate as she races through Marrakech and Hilton Head dodging peril after peril.
