This is a biographical account of the Author Bruce Vaughan's experiences working for a British meat company in the interior of Brazil in the fifties. The exciting period of the author's life is vividly re-experienced as he shares with the reader what it was like to leave Britain as a young man and plunge into the exciting life of a cowboy in upcountry Brazil. The author skillfully mixes humor, compassion as well as tragedy in this very personal story.
