All it takes is one dramatic winning shot to transform Eddie Holder, a high school basketball player, from a humble and considerate student into a selfish and egotistical monster. And now, thinking that he's "dope" on the basketball courts, Eddie decides to drop out of school to pursue his hoop dreams. Consequently, he'll do anything to reach his goal, even if it means alienating everybody including his former best friend and teammate, Richie Sykes, and selling his soul to the devil. When things veer totally out of control, a fast-thinking, fun-loving and colorful character named Slamm Dunkk and the "Spirits of Basketball Past," "Present" and "Future" pay a visit to Eddie and take him by the hand and hoop to a mysterious and alternate realm, forcing him to examine his past, present and alternate future. Based loosely on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Eddie must decide which path he must choose and confront all his demons-internal and external-before he really "dribbles" his life out of bounds.
