When a job is too hot or too sensitive for the worlds leading international intelligence communities, they call on Amison Rueben Jones, their favorite hired gun and hit man. The problem is that he has been living in forced exile in the Bimini islands for five years following a deadly confrontation with drug dealers and an attempt on his wifes life. The botched murder has left her comatose and Amison yearning for revenge. He is soon to have his wish. An archeological team from Florida claims to have found the lost civilization of Atlantis based on the unearthing in North Bimini of a pre-historic male called Bimini Man, supposedly of African origin. Suspicion is aroused when rumors of a large cache of heroin buried at the dig site begin spreading. Jones is hurriedly brought in from the cold with orders to blow up the excavation with everything in it. Amison accepts the mission on the condition of his being able to reopen the investigation into the assault against his wife. He finds that not only is Bimini Man a cover for a two billion dollar heroin treasure trove, it is linked to his wifes attempted murder. It soon becomes obvious that his employers are no better than his enemies and want him dead before the assignment is completed. Jones faces betrayal and death as he struggles to close down the bogus dig and track down his wifes assailants.
