Crowns of Thorns is a compelling psychological drama about a savior's ambivalent return to a world that has abandoned him. Written in both first and third person dialogue, the story opens with the violent crucifixion of Emanuel as he tries to understand his place in the new world. The story evolves from a distant place 2000 years in the past and then catapults to the present day when the savior is reborn into the life of a little boy in Spanish Harlem. Crowns of Thorns blends old world evil and black magic from the forgotten corners of the world with a little boy's quest to understand his destiny in a world that has lost its way.
