Greg Townsend has a vision, to build a space shuttle, an F-4 Phantom airframe launched from a 707 ailriner. Roger Jackson, a high-tech financier bent on becoming a space tycoon funds the program. The ship is built and ready for its maiden orbital flight when Jackson receives a mysterious call, a wisp of the deep-cover plot to sabotage Townsends ship.
