Consent Withdrawn: a Novel About the Next American Revolution
S. Pearce
The world has entered the new Millennium, and in the United States there are two forces on a collision course. The first is a political party with a grand plan to gain complete control of the country. The second force is New America, Inc, a secretive organization that sees the country headed toward a moral and financial crash, and seeks to accelerate that process while the American people are strong enough to recover. Caught between these two forces is George Grayhorse, Junior Congressman from Arizona. Appointed to fill out his fathers term when his father is murdered, George is wooed by party leaders with offers of power and prestige. He is also recruited by New America, Inc to help them with their plan to give the country a fresh start. George rejects both offers to focus on continuing his fathers work and finding his fathers killer. When his search makes him a target of his fathers killers, George takes refuge with New America, Inc. As the collision occurs, the American people erupt in outrage and George is forced to choose between saving the US congress from an angry mob and stepping aside and allowing the mob to take their revenge.
