"I had only painted a handful of birds before beginning this #colorbirdz series on Instagram, and was proud of half of them." The self-imposed challenge proved to foster a new love for a vast range of subjects: the feathery sort. Amarilys Henderson is a watercolor illustrator who specializes in surface design. She enjoys bringing the dynamic vibrancy of watercolor to everyday products, from paper to porcelain. Her experience in print design influences much of her work, which found its renaissance in new motherhood and refreshed faith. Amarilys is a well-known online teacher, sharing her illustration techniques with 95,000 students. Amarilys lives in Minnesota, dreadfully close to the nearest space heater.
