Mr Otter and the River Jane Smith

Mr Otter and his friends, Needles the Hedgehog and The Squirrel, have lived peacefully by the river for years. Their lives trundle on from day to day with nothing much happening and that's the way they like it. But, one day, the riverbank quiet is interrupted by loud bangs and crashes. Mr Otter is not happy about this and he and his friends set out to investigate the source of all that noise. He sets off expecting to give someone a stern telling-off but ends up being introduced to new friends. Soon he will find that he needs their help and that he has to rely on others. He learns that solid friendship can be found in unexpected places.
