His research in labor economics and the history of economic thought has been published in such journals as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Labor Economics, and History of Political Economy. John B. Davis, Professor of Economics, Marquette University, is editor of the Review of Social Economy and the Routledge series, "Advances in Social Economics."Steven G. Medema is Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado at Denver.

Contributor Bio:  Biddle, Jeff E Warren J. Samuels is Professor Emeritus, and former Director of Graduate Programs for the Economics Department at Michigan State University. He is former President of the History of Economics Society and former President of the Association for Social Economics. In 1997 he was made Distinguished Fellow, History of Economics Society. Professor Samuels was Editor of the Journal "of Economic Issues" and is presently Co-editor of the "Journal of Income Distribution," He has been on the Editorial Boards of 16 journals, has written or edited over 40 books, and is widely published in top journals. Jeff E. Biddle is Professor of Economics at Michigan State University. He is widely published in the field of history of economic thought in such journals as "The History of Political Economy," "Journal of Labor Economics," and "American Economic Review,"John B. Davis is Professor of Economics at Marquette University, and is former President of the History of Economics Society. Professor Davis specializes in history of economic thought and is renowned for his work on John Maynard Keynes. Recently he was a visiting fellow at Clare Hall, Cambridge, UK where he conducted research on Keynes' unpublished manuscripts. Davis is Editor of the "Review of Social Economy" and his research has been published in "The Economic Journal," "Cambridge Journal of Economics," "Journal of Post-Keynesian Economics," and "The History of Political Economics,"Contributor Bio:  Davis, John B John B. Davis is Professor and Chair of History and Philosophy of Economics at the University of Amsterdam; Professor of Economics at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute, Erasmus University, Rotterdam. He is the author of Keynes's Philosophical Development (Cambridge University Press, 1994) and The Theory of the Individual in Economics (2003), which was a co-winner of the 2004 Myrdal Prize from the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy. He is a co-editor with Wade Hands and Uskali Maki of The Handbook of Economic Methodology (1998) and a co-editor with Warren Samuels and Jeff Biddle of The Blackwell Companion to the History of Economic Thought (2003). Professor Davis has published in journals such as the Cambridge Journal of Economics, the Economic Journal, the Review of Political Economy, the History of Political Economy and the Journal of Economic Methodology. Professor Davis is a past President of the History of Economics Society, a past Chair of the International Network for Economic Method and past President of the Association for Social Economics.
