The Ramblings of A Bessbrook Boy Seán Ó Sirideán

Seán Ó Sirideán was born in Newry and reared in the south Armagh border village of Bessbrook in county Armagh. He has been writing songs and poetry since he was a young boy, writing about the beautiful landscape that he grew up around and about the people and local characters that he met along the way. After working for the BBC for seven years he is now working on a new stage play about the Magdalene Laundries in what he calls 'Ireland's darkest hour' for women.
