Two words that should never go together are "children" and "death." Unfortunately, there will come a time in many children's lives when someone they care about dies. It could be a person or a family pet, and it still hurts.




Far too often, our littlest ones get lost in the bustle of the preparations we undertake when saying a final goodbye to someone we love. But that doesn't mean that children don't see and hear everything that is going on around them!




This book is prepared for the youngest among us, those we try to shield from sadness of any kind. It is an interactive book created to help adults begin the conversation with children aged 3-8 about death and what happens afterwards. This book discusses a place some call Heaven. Through simple concepts, words and creative Indigenous artwork, you can hopefully draw out questions the child has, but doesn't know how to ask! This book will also serve as a cherished "memory book" for the child in the future.
