Music documentary series directed by Ken Burns. A chronological look at country music over the years, from its beginnings in the American South to its growing popularity following the Great Depression and the rise of stars such as Roy Acuff and Hank Williams. The series features input from many stars of the genre, including Dolly Parton, Charley Pride, Garth Brooks and Marty Stuart.
