Sara Green Whitney Dutton was born before the Civil War. She lived in a bracket of time, as we all do, in a line of time and events. Her friends and family lived essentially in-between those brackets. Some entered later, some left before she did, some after, but no one escapes the roughly 100-year potential lifespan of human beings. So, her final chapters are written here, the journey started so long ago rolls to its end.

Comes now the Great Depression, the Dustbowl years, the Roaring 20's, ends to things known, new things are being born, and the bracket of her lifetime closes. The days of Prairie Woman are no more and a new era dawns.
