This work is one of the better creation series entries released over the course of a decade in the early 20th century. The title is vaguely misleading since it does not involve the modern region of Palestine, so much as a study of the extra-biblical influence of Egyptian and Babylonian deities and rites within what would later become Judeochristianity. It is at once a work of linguistics and of basic religious history, with a major discussion of the adaptation of deities and powers by ruling classes and figures through antiquity in all adjacent regions.
