The consumer needs and demands continuously change with the time and availability of the products. Owing to the scientific and technological development today market is flooded with fabrics made up of synthetic fibers and new finishes. So consumers are unable to judge the quality of garments and can be easily exploited. Identification of fiber content in fabrics has become difficult, in this regard labels in garments give information about garment. The present study was planned to collect information pertaining to labels present on readymade garments in showrooms; compare the labels present on readymade garments with the standards and assess users' awareness regarding labels on readymade garments.
