The goal of root perforation management is the regeneration of healthy supporting periodontal tissues without persistent inflammation or loss of periodontal attachment. In case of periodontal attachment breakdown, then the aim is to re-establish tissue attachment. Therefore, a successful perforation repair is mainly dependent on the ability to seal the perforation defect and re-establish the supporting periodontal attachment.
