Using the established methodology of reverse dictionaries, this new dictionary arranges the headwords alphabetically from the back, instead of from the front, as is usual. This arrangement allows the user to gain a rapid overview of the phonetic links between words or of the frequency of particular suffixes. This "Reverse German Dictionary" is particularly valuable because it is the first to use different typefaces such as bold and italic to display groups of word formations and autonomous sub-groups, making it immediately obvious how productive a particular lemma (headword) is, what compounds it forms and which morpho-grammatical phenomena it displays.
